Kentron TV

Kentron TV is an Armenian television channel that was founded in 2002. The channel broadcasts throughout Armenia and maintains international reach across Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East, select African countries, and North America. Kentron offers diverse programming including news, political analysis, social commentary, cultural content, and entertainment shows.
The channel maintains significant activity on social networks, with 263,000 YouTube followers and 129,000 Facebook followers.
The owner of Kentron is Sedrak Arustamyan, who serves as director, shareholder, or owner of several companies. Among these are companies that belong to a well-known businessman and political figure Gagik Tsarukyan, chairman of the "Prosperous Armenia" party. A long-standing opinion exists in Armenian society that Gagik Tsarukyan is the de facto owner of "Kentron" TV channel, and there are facts supporting this opinion. The channel became associated with Tsarukyan’s name in 2004, when it was purchased by Murad Gulyan, Tsarukyan’s fellow villager, relative, and member of parliament from the Republican Party faction, who later became a member of Tsarukyan’s Prosperous Armenia party. A 2005 article by “Hetq” notes: “One of the responsible persons of ‘Kentron’ admitted to us that he reports only to Gagik Tsarukyan. ‘Murad Gulyan does not exist,’ he said literally about a living, breathing person.”

Ownership
| Ownership Structure | Kentron TV operates under Multi Media-Kentron TV CJSC, which is wholly owned by Sedrak Arustamyan. Arustamyan maintains business affiliations with prominent businessman and politician Gagik Tsarukyan, chairman of the Prosperous Armenia party. A long-standing belief exists in Armenian society that Gagik Tsarukyan is the de facto owner of Kentron TV channel, despite Arustamyan's formal ownership status. This perception is supported by documented business connections and operational patterns that suggest Tsarukyan's influence over the channel's direction. |

| Voting Rights | According to the charter of Multi Media-Kentron TV Closed Joint-Stock Company, shareholders constitute the company's supreme governing body and are divided into two categories: holders of common shares and preferred shares. Under Armenian law governing closed joint-stock companies, shareholders participate in annual meetings and exercise management rights including receiving dividends and maintaining first refusal rights on newly issued company shares. The company operates through a three-tier management structure. The Board of Directors handles overall company management and strategic direction, including determining main business activities, approving shareholder meeting agendas, and appointing or dismissing the general director. The Board also convenes the mandatory annual shareholders' meetings. Day-to-day operations fall under the general director's authority, who manages company property and financial resources, executes transactions, and serves as the company's legal representative in external dealings. |
