Nor Hayastan (New Armenia) is an Armenian television channel that was founded in 2019 and broadcasts in Yerevan under the license of Mo TV Media Holding LLC. The channel occupies an airtime slot previously held by Yerevan TV and H3 television channels.


Nor Hayastan and Mo TV Media Holding LLC share the same ownership structure. Astghik Sargsyan and Robert Oghlakhchyan serve as co-owners of both entities. Sargsyan is the daughter of Artem Sargsyan, a well-known television presenter and former editor-in-chief of Armenia TV, and the sister of Bagrat Sargsyan, who holds significant influence in Armenia's television industry. Oghlakhchyan also owns ARTN, an Armenian television company operating in the United States.


Nor Hayastan broadcasts political programs, social affairs content, entertainment programming, and television series. The channel operates as part of a multi-platform distribution strategy, with select series broadcast simultaneously across three platforms: Nor Hayastan, ARTN television, and the Armflix streaming application.

Nor Hayastan CJSC is co-owned by Astghik Sargsyan and Robert Oghlakhchyan, each owns 50% of the company.

Voting RightsAccording to the charter, each ordinary share of the Company grants identical rights to the shareholder who owns it. The Company's general meeting of shareholders serves as the highest governing body, with annual meetings convened within six months following the end of each financial year. The current operations of the Company are managed by the company's director.

According to the Commission on Television and Radio of the Republic of Armenia's website, the company representing Nor Hayastan television and holding its broadcast license is Mo TV Media Holding CJSC, which was founded in 2000. However, according to the charter of Nor Hayastan CJSC, the television company itself was founded in 2019. Both companies are owned by Astghik Sargsyan and Robert Oghlakhchyan with equal shares.

    Astghik Sargsyan is a founder of Nor Hayastan television company and currently owns 50% of the company's shares. Astghik Sargsyan is the daughter of Artem Sargsyan, a well-known television presenter and former editor-in-chief of Armenia TV, and the sister of Bagrat Sargsyan, who is prominent in the television business.

    Rafayel Mnatskanyan serves as executive director of both Nor Hayastan and Mo TV Media Holding CJSCs, a position he holds while also working as a news presenter on Nor Hayastan television. He previously hosted the Good Morning Armenians program on USArmenia TV. Mnatskanyan maintains an active social media presence, with his YouTube channel attracting 41,400 subscribers.

    According to Mnatskanyan's Facebook page, he is one of the founders of Radio MAO, described as Armenia's first student radio station. On February 1, 2020, years after Radio MAO's founding day, Mnatskanyan announced the establishment of another radio station, Our Radio, in Los Angeles.

    Mnatskanyan graduated from Utah Valley University in the United States in 2015.

  • Bagrat Sargsyan

    Bagrat Sargsyan is the brother of Astghik Sargsyan and the eldest son of Artem Sargsyan. He founded several media outlets in Armenia, including Armenia TV and Armnews television companies, before expanding his activities to the United States. In 2007, Sargsyan and his brother Vahagn Sargsyan founded USATV LLC in California, followed by the establishment of USArmenia TV in 2008, which became the largest Armenian television channel in the United States.

    According to state registry data, Astghik Sargsyan held shares in E.V. television company from 2010 to 2013. The other shareholder in E.V. television company was Benet Group Inc., a company registered in the Virgin Islands. According to a 2010 report by the Yerevan Press Club, Benet Group Inc. belonged to Mikayel Minasyan, son-in-law of Serzh Sargsyan, and Arthur Janibekyan, founder of Comedy Club Production.

  • Artem Sargsyan

    Artem Sargsyan is the father of Astghik and Bagrat Sargsyan. He is a well-known television presenter and linguist in Armenia and has taught at universities in Armenia as well as educational institutions in the Armenian Diaspora. Since 1978, Sargsyan has hosted his own authored program series, Our Language, Our Speech, first on the First Channel and later on Armenia TV. He has served as editor-in-chief of Armenia television company.
