Flora Nakhshkaryan has served as chief editor of Golos Armenii newspaper since 1992 and founded "Golos" LLC in 2000 to formally publish the newspaper. She served as both sole owner and director until June 2025, when ownership transferred to  Samvel Karakhanyan. Despite this change, she remains the company’s director while continuing her editorial leadership of the newspaper. 

Born in 1949 in Tbilisi, Georgia, Nakhshkaryan began her journalism career in 1971 as editor of the "Bulletin of Humanitarian Sciences" at the Armenian Academy of Sciences, serving until 1976. She became a member of the Journalists' Union of Armenia in 1980.

Following her early editorial experience, she joined the Communist Party's "Kommunist" newspaper, where she worked for 16 years, advancing from junior editor to first deputy editor-in-chief. When "Golos Armenii" was established in 1991 on the foundation of the former "Kommunist" newspaper, Nakhshkaryan's extensive experience positioned her to lead the new publication.

In recognition of her contributions to Armenian journalism, President Serzh Sargsyan awarded Nakhshkaryan the honorary title of Honored Journalist in 2009. She was married to Ruben Sahakyan, a lawyer who served as the first chairman of the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia.
