Logo of Impuls LLC

Impuls LLC holds the broadcasting license for "Gortsarar Aliq" radio program. Founded in 1997 by journalist Koryun Khumaryan, the company operates as a family-owned media business.

The company is registered with the State Revenue Committee as engaged in "Composition and Broadcasting of Radio Programs." It is classified as a turnover tax payer, indicating annual revenues below 115 million AMD (approximately 300,000 USD) excluding VAT.

Throughout its history, the company has broadcast radio programs under various names: "Impuls-Mayak," "Impuls," "Lratvakan Radio," and "Gortsarar Aliq."

On March 13, 2024, the Television and Radio Commission initiated administrative proceedings against Impuls LLC. The Commission's Monitoring and Control Department reported that on February 7, 8, and 9, 2024, the broadcaster aired programs for "GORTSARAR ALIQ FM 106.5" that were not listed in the electronic logbook uploaded to the electronic registry server for March 2024.

This administrative action coincided with a dispute between the Council of Public Broadcaster and Garegin Khumaryan, eldest son of the Khumaryans and then-Director of Public Radio of Armenia. The conflict was triggered by Khumaryan's public criticism of an interview with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan aired on Public Radio. The Council stated that Khumaryan had "prima facie abused his authority and official position, using the reputation and official website of Public Radio to unquestionably present his own opinion and ensure maximum public reaction."
