The Vahan Tekeyan Social-Cultural Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2019 that carries out the journalistic activities of Azg weekly newspaper. The foundation cooperates with both local and international organizations.

Over time, different companies have carried out Azg's journalistic activities. In 2000, Azg Daily LLC was founded and conducted journalistic activities through the newspaper's 2018 issues. According to the last State Register update for Azg Daily LLC in 2012, the company's largest shareholder (80%) was Armen Abrahamyan, brother of Ara Abrahamyan, president of the Union of Armenians of Russia. Armen Abrahamyan worked in the tax system for many years and served in the National Assembly from 2007 to 2012 representing the Prosperous Armenia party. He held the largest share because his brother Ara Abrahamyan had financed the newspaper's publication at that time.

Subsequently, Tekeyan Publishing LLC, founded in 2018, carried out the newspaper's journalistic activities. The company published its last beneficial ownership declaration in 2022 but has since suspended operations temporarily. The newspaper is now financed by the Vahan Tekeyan Social-Cultural Foundation, established in 2019.

These ownership transitions reflect Azg's financial difficulties. In January 2014, when the newspaper temporarily ceased printing due to financial constraints, it was not possible to establish contact with Ara Abrahamyan. From February 2014, Azg has been published as a weekly newspaper rather than a daily.

The foundation's beneficiaries include legal entities and individuals operating in education, science, culture, arts, sports, and social advertising production and distribution, as well as students and children without parental care who face difficult circumstances.

The foundation cooperates with the Tekeyan Cultural Association but operates independently. The Tekeyan Cultural Association was founded in 1947 in Beirut, and subsequently established centers and foundations in Armenia and other countries.
