Armenika Kiviryan serves as the sole owner and editor-in-chief of News AM LLC, having co-founded the company on January 25, 2011, alongside Ashot Manukyan and "GMLC" LLC. While her co-founders transferred their ownership stakes to other parties shortly after establishment, Kiviryan retained her involvement and became the company's sole participant on October 9, 2018.

Her journalism background includes studying at the Faculty of International Journalism at Hrachya Acharian University from 1992 to 1997, providing her with foundational training in international media practices. She gained professional experience during the 2000s working at the "Arminfo" news agency, where she developed expertise in news operations and media management. According to the Union of Journalists of Armenia website, Kiviryan has also contributed publications to the magazine Russkaya Mysl (Русская мысль), demonstrating her engagement with international Armenian media outlets.

Her educational background in international journalism and practical experience with established news agencies positioned her to launch News AM LLC as an independent media venture, building on nearly two decades of experience in Armenia's evolving media landscape.

  • Argishti Kivirya
Argishti Kiviryan, brother of News AM owner Armenika Kiviryan, operates as both a lawyer and journalist. He serves as the sole participant of "Bagin" Law Office LLC, which has been operating since 2001. While Argishti has no formal ownership in media companies, media reports indicate he coordinated operations for the "Armenia Today" news website, demonstrating continued involvement in Armenia's media sector. In April 2009, Argishti Kiviryan was the victim of a serious assault that included gunfire. Avetik Ishkhanyan, Chairman of the Helsinki Committee of Armenia, told Hetq newspaper that the incident appeared to be an attempted murder with likely political motivations. The case generated significant controversy both due to Kiviryan's status as a journalist and because bullet casings disappeared from the crime scene. Despite the severity of the attack, authorities filed charges only for "Intentional infliction of light bodily harm." Argishti's civic activism has resulted in additional legal confrontations with authorities. During a 2013 protest, he was arrested and subsequently charged. His case eventually reached the European Court of Human Rights, where he filed a complaint against the Republic of Armenia. The parties reached a settlement under which Armenia compensated Kiviryan with 9,000 euros, suggesting the court found merit in his claims of improper treatment.
