ATV LLC
ATV LLC operates A-TV, a private Armenian television channel that was formerly known as Armenakob TV and adopted its current name in 2009. A-TV’s programming spans news, political and public affairs talk shows, original Armenian TV series, and both local and foreign films. Since 2015, the channel has broadcast the Today news program and engaged in collaboration with the Russian TNT network.
A-TV was part of the PanArmenian Media Group, a large holding that also included Armenia TV, ArmNews TV, Lav Radio, Radio Jan, and Tert.am. In 2019, PanArmenian Media Group ceased activities at the shareholders’ request. Following this, ArmNews, Lav Radio, and Tert.am joined Quarry Media, which also dissolved in 2022.
The company has a multifaceted founding and ownership history. According to the State Register of Legal Entities of Armenia, the channel has been registered as Armenakob TV (1999–2000), AS TV (2000–2009), and Armenakob TV from 2009 onward; the timeline differs from various media sources. While some reports describe Armen Amiryan as the founder in 2000, 1999 records list Armenak Sargsyan as the single owner with a 7.6% share.
Ownership has shifted many times, with stakeholders including former Minister of Culture and Republican Party member Armen Amiryan, his wife Hranush Amiryan, his brother Arayik Amiryan, and others. From 2008 to 2014, 40% of ATV LLC was owned by Hopar Media LLC, whose owner, Otari Hakobyan, is the father of Arthur Janibekyan (founder of Comedy Club Production LLC). During this period, 60% was held by Vahe Ghazaryan, author of Sur Ankoun. From 2014 to 2019, Bagrat Sargsyan was the sole owner.
Audience and market share data are unavailable. Financials have been converted to US dollars using the Central Bank of Armenia’s annual average exchange rate for 2024. Despite repeated contact attempts, ATV LLC did not respond to MOM Team inquiries.

| Meta Data | The founding information for the channel presents notable discrepancies. According to the State Register of Legal Entities of Armenia, prior names include AS TV (2000–2009) and Armenakob TV (1999–2009), though this timeline appears inconsistent. A more accurate chronology is likely: Armenakob TV (1999–2000), AS TV (2000–2009), and Armenakob TV (2009–present). Different media sources provide conflicting data; for example, Armenakob TV is often reported as founded by Armen Amiryan starting in 2000, whereas the 1999 record lists Armenak Sargsyan as the sole owner with a 7.6% stake. No data is available on audience or market share. Financial values are reported in US dollars, converted according to the Central Bank of Armenia’s annual average exchange rate for 2024.
